I will see if she likes it but I think I might have to get the rest of the books in the series. It is written in a nice simple language and with words most ages will understand, showing the author knows her audience well, even the adults that have to listen to it might enjoy it, I did. The story is short enough to keep her attention but with enough going on that she shouldn't get board. The answer is yes, I think she will love it. I got this book for my 7 year old niece and knowing the book wouldn't get much of a review from her, I decided to listen to it myself, so it could get more than a one word answer and also to see if it was appropriate for her and more importantly something she would listen to.

I was given this audiobook for free from audiobooks unleashed and have left this review voluntarily.Īny thing to get children hooked on books is great I look forward to finding more books narrated by him. Mark Wimmer is an excellent narrator, perfectly capturing the spirit of the book in his reading. I really liked the little snippet at the end about dinosaur facts and development in understanding of their fossils, I want more of that in books. Catching a child's imagination is the most important part of a children's book and this one did it perfectly, my kids loved it and I hope this book helps awaken a love of reading in other kids as it's encouraged mine to continue expanding the worlds they read about. I like books that make them look at situations differently, just as Spencer does when he finds himself in Arcos world and encountering a troubled dinosaur. My kids think dinosaurs are awesome, they're not wrong, their words and they really liked that this book was about dinosaurs and that they weren't made into the villain of the story just destroying things for the sake of it.
